Marc + Clare: Before they say 'I do'
The morning of a wedding day is one of the most intense mornings you can imagine. Emotions are high and everyone is busy. There is often a mixture of laughter, tears, happiness and a touch of intrepidation. After all, this day is often the culmination of a lot of hard work and planning, and you want the the day to go off with one hitch and one hitch only. No unexpected problems will be allowed to get in the way.
This set of images were taken at a recent wedding, where the bride to be, Claire, was surrounded by close friends and family all chipping in and making the day start off the way it should.
I love moments like this. They are very personal, and it is no small thing to allow a photographer in during such a time. I always feel very privileged to be allowed to witness such moments in people's lives. And to be with the bride and groom, and their families, from the very start is my favourite way to kickstart a wedding day photoshoot.
Arriving to the house early, the house is abuzz with life. The option of tea and Champagne is on offer. And the clock is ticking down. It is moments like this when our friends and family really show us their value. And without them we often would not make it, which is often true of life. Claire's family, and friends, as well as getting themsleves ready, were all chipping in, and helping the bride, and doing an amazing job, as you can see for yourself.
